Heads of State

" I created Heads of State to honor the visionaries, revolutionaries, and truth tellers whose words and actions shifted the course of history.  Too often, these figures are reduced to soundbites or erased entirely -- their complexity, humanity and courage lost to time or rewritten by those who feared their power.

Every portrait in this series is more than an image -- it's a frame around a story the world tried to forget.  I chose each figure because their fight still speaks to our moment.  They stood against oppression, challenged systems, and lived with a clarity of purpose that inspires me in my own work.

As a designer, I believe clothing can be a conversation starter -- a way to carry these legacies into rooms they were never invited into. This series is my way of making sure their names and truths continue to move through the world, stitched into something people can see, wear, and remember. " (Quasim- Paper Brown Bag Art)
